Question: Best shampoo & conditioner for maintaining blonde hair and removing brassiness?

My cousin works for Aveda and recommended the Blue Malva line - which has a blue tint to remove yellowish tones. I was wondering if anyone has suggestions for a similar product, but I different line. Every Aveda product that she has had me use hasnt done anything for me.

She gave me a root amplifier - didn't work
something to control flyaways - didn't work
an "intense" conditioner - didn't work
face wash - didn't work
rosemary mint conditioner - left my hair GREASY

...Im not totally in love with Aveda, so im looking for other suggestions.
